Obama's plan would give the average guy, say, a plumber, whose average 2007 salary was, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, $47,350, a big tax cut, around $1,118. Even someone making $250,000, the alleged income of the unlicensed, back-tax-owing "Joe the Plumber," would only pay $121 more in taxes. Under McCain's plan, the average plumber would get a tiny tax cut of around $325, in order to shovel money, tens of thousands of dollars of it, to the one group of people need it the least. Obama's plan would actually create jobs. The wealthy would hire more people, creating more expenses, so they would not have to pay so much tax. After all, you can deduct what you people working for you from your taxes, because that's an expense. McCain's plan, by taxing the poor to save the rich, would create jobs, too. Jobs like pool cleaner, shoe shiner, and golf ball polisher. |
